Be-Have-Do

BE

Present Tense:

  • I am happy to see you.

  • They are working on their project.

  • She is a talented artist.

Past Tense:

  • I was at the concert last night.

  • They were excited about the trip.

  • She was a teacher before retiring.

Future Tense:

  • I will be at the meeting tomorrow.

  • They will be traveling next week.

  • She will be joining us for dinner.

(Past Participle)

I have been to the new art gallery downtown."

HAVE

Present Tense:
  • I have a meeting this afternoon.

  • She has two cats.

Past Tense:

  • I had a great time at the party.

  • They had lunch together yesterday.

Future Tense:

  • I will have an answer for you by tomorrow.

  • She will have her degree by next year.

Present Perfect (Past Participle):

  • I have had this book for years.

  • They have had many adventures together.

DO

Present Tense:

  • I do my homework every evening.

  • She does a fantastic job at work.

Past Tense:

  • I did my chores yesterday.

  • They did their best in the competition.

Future Tense:

  • I will do the dishes after dinner.

  • He will do his presentation next week.

Past Participle (Present Perfect):

  • I have done my assignments for today.

  • She has done an incredible amount of work.
